What is the SciPy Mentorship Program and how do I register?

For the second consecutive year, SciPy will be organizing a mentorship program. The program is designed to connect student attendees with more experienced developers in their area of interest (academia, industry or government/national lab). The students and mentors will both receive each other’s contact information and some potential meeting times. The mentor volunteers will give students a networking contact and can help them with a range of topics from getting feedback on their research to understanding the gap between academic work and industry requirements. Students attending the mentorship session are expected to come prepared with questions.

Attendees registering as a student or scholarship recipient will be given the option to sign up to receive a mentor during the registration process. Those registering as an academic or standard attendee will be able to volunteer as a mentor during registration.
